Book Released on campus at PSG College of Technology on February 26, 2016
What a wonderful meet we had!
The book release function started with a prayer. Mr. Nandakumar did the welcome speech and it was then Mr. Surya Kolluri spoke about the creation of the book. It was a well thought out speech acknowledging everyone’s effort including Krish family. Before the speech, thoughtfully Surya made sure we observed a minute of silence for those who are not part of us having departed from earth.
Following this, there was the release of the book by Principal Dr. Rudramoorthy. Then there were speeches from Principal and professors Radhakrishnan Nair and Prof. Mohanram. Then it was the turn of Mr. Venkat Raghavan to speak. He spoke about what always comes to the fore about the group. Staying Connected and Committed. Ms. Swarna Ramesh then spoke about life sans technology of those days. Mr. Srikrishnan made a nice speech thereafter and Mohan delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
In between, we had the memento time. Our event organizers as usual had elaborate souvenirs and bouquets for a number of us. They know the secret of being inclusive!
The event in itself had an impact. Most people said, we should continue to produce more books! Then there was a gentleman from the audience, who is 81 years old and the former President of the PSG Alumni Association, who insisted that he should speak. How very well he spoke! Salute Monsieur Palanisamy! Mohan rightly mentioned that Mr. Palanisamy had done his job.
